Babka Press’s goal is to publish poetry anthologies on specific Jewish experiences.
We want to discover new voices and celebrate emerging and seasoned poets. Jews and our Allies are welcome to submit. We believe that themed collections provide a cohesive reading experience and an emotional outlet for our collective trauma. We welcome poetry of the sacred and the profane.

Call for submissions to our inaugural anthology: Sheltering in Place

We want poems from those who have experienced the barrage of missiles in Israel.
Whether crouched on a roadside, staying in an underground garage, huddled in a safe room, or with kids or at a playground in a tubular concrete structure, we want your poetry. We are particularly interested in the resilience of the absurd, the ‘only in Israel’ stories.

The submission deadline has been extended to July 15, 2026.
